The Burgess Semi Automated Bender for newspaper is a highly advanced, precision engineered machine for use where four color registration is extremely critical and exacting tolerances must be maintained. Burgess offers a Holes Over Pins System for traditional film based analog workflows.

Semi-Auto Bender w. Pin Register Operation:
First, standing at the operating position of the bender, the operator slides the plate into the bender and pushes a button to raise the register pins. Next the operator moves to the pin register side of the bender and manually positions the register control holes in the plate over the bender pins. Then the operator returns to the front side of the bender and pushes the two cycle buttons simultaneously, which activates the vacuum hold down to secure the plate in the bender. This also automatically lowers the hold-down clamps and bending wings into position and retracts the register pins. Then, the operator manually rotates the counter-balanced bending wings and bending is complete.
